Bridgeway Family Homes offers 4 distinct family-based foster care programs to meet the individual profile of the children placed in our care. Our 4 programs: Parent Model, Parent Model Plus, Mixed Modality, Mixed Modality Plus, vary in the ways in which the support services are delivered to the child/youth. For example, there is intensive child/youth staff support along with additional therapeutic interventions for children and youth who have multiple diagnoses and complex care needs. Many of the children/youth referred to our agency have severe social, emotional and behavioural disorders; and, medical, physical, psychological and/or developmental difficulties. Due to the unique needs of the foster care population, highly individualized treatment plans are developed and levels of support services are implemented and coordinated by professional Foster Home Supervisors. All Foster homes are trained, supported and supervised to offer all children/youth in their care a safe, structured and therapeutic environment that provides an opportunity to experience normative family life activities wherein adults demonstrate a high level of commitment to attend to children’s needs for belonging and nurturance.

All treatment planning for children/youth in care is done in team collaboration with the Foster Parent(s), the placing agency Children’s Service Worker, Bridgeway Foster Home Supervisor, other members of the overall service team and adjunct professionals.
